Our approach

Fewer introductions, better ones.

Allocators are offered more managers than they can review, and much of what reaches them is unverified. Talented traders, meanwhile, often lack the network, documentation or structure that institutional capital requires.

We sit between the two. We work with a small number of teams at a time, verify their record against source data, review their trading infrastructure, and bring them forward only when the fit with an allocator's mandate is clear.

Our background is in capital markets technology across Asia-Pacific. That lets us assess how a team actually trades: execution, risk controls, data and operations. We look past the return series.

01

Verified, not marketed

Track records are reconciled to broker or clearing statements, never to self-reported spreadsheets alone.

02

Mandate-led matching

We start from what an allocator needs: strategy, capacity, liquidity, correlation and structure.

03

Operational depth

Review of execution stack, risk limits, data lineage and business continuity, drawing on our technology heritage.

04

Discretion

Identities and data are shared only under NDA and with both parties' consent. We do not publish names or performance.

For allocators

Pre-screened managers matched to your mandate.

We work with proprietary trading firms, commodity trading houses, hedge funds and multi-manager platforms, single and multi-family offices, and accredited private investors seeking differentiated, liquid strategies.

Tell us your mandate once. We bring you managers only when they meet it, each with a consistent diligence pack so you can compare like for like.

  • Diligence pack Reconciled track record, drawdown and risk analysis, strategy description, team background and references.
  • Operational review Infrastructure, execution venues, risk limits, controls and key-person dependencies.
  • Your terms, your contract Whether you hire a team, allocate risk capital or invest through a fund, the arrangement is agreed directly between you and the manager.
  • Clear engagement Terms are agreed in writing before any introduction is made.

For trading teams and portfolio managers

Institutional capital needs an institutional process.

We work with proprietary trading teams and portfolio managers who have a demonstrable edge and want to scale, whether by joining a larger firm, taking on a risk-capital allocation, or raising external capital.

We help you present your record properly and close the gaps allocators will find before you meet anyone. If a fund structure is the right route, we point you to established VCC platforms and their licensed partners.

What we typically look for

Track record
Two years or more of live trading, verifiable against third-party statements
Strategies
Commodities (physical-linked, futures, options, spreads), systematic and quantitative, relative value, macro
Risk discipline
Defined limits, controlled drawdowns, consistent risk-adjusted returns
Capacity
A credible view of how much capital the strategy can absorb
Integrity
Clean regulatory history and transparent reasons for any move

These are guidelines, not hard thresholds. A strong case is always worth a conversation.

Fund structures

Pointing capital to the right vehicle.

Many introductions fail on structure, not performance. We know Singapore's fund and family office landscape well. Where a structure is needed, we refer both sides to established specialists, who then act for them directly.

VCC platforms

Umbrella Variable Capital Companies with licensed fund managers, where a team can launch a sub-fund without building its own management company.

Family office vehicles

Single family office structures under the 13O and 13U tax incentive schemes, through the managers and advisers who set them up.

Licensed managers

Fund management companies holding MAS Capital Markets Services licences, for teams that need a regulated home for external money.

Service providers

Fund administrators, auditors, brokers and legal counsel experienced with trading strategies and Singapore structures.

GGN Partners refers parties to these providers and has no role in the services they provide. We do not give legal, tax or investment advice.

Process

How an introduction comes together.

  1. 1

    Mandate

We record the allocator's mandate or the manager's objectives, under mutual NDA.

  2. 2

    Screen

An initial review of strategy, record and fit. Most teams we review do not go further.

  3. 3

    Verify

Reconciliation to source statements, risk analysis and operational review.

  4. 4

    Introduce

A curated, consented introduction with a standard diligence pack.

  5. 5

    Hand-off

The parties take it from there, agreeing terms directly with their own advisers. We step back.

Our role, plainly

GGN Partners makes introductions. We do not manage or hold money, deal in or advise on investment products, or employ or place staff. Every hiring, allocation or investment is agreed directly between the parties, and any regulated activity is carried out by appropriately licensed firms.
